The power of nature is awesome. Dachen Island is such a place, with a strong regional culture and unique natural environment. Facing such a place, we cannot bear to destroy it. However, what is the method that can not only affect the environment to a minimum degree, but also achieve the demands of building a resort hotel?

We design the landscape for this site, extract two contour lines of the mountain as the outline of the building, and gently lift the contour lines as the main volumn of the building. Meantime, the terrace landscape is extended to the roof of the building, It becomes a viewing platform which can overlook the entire East China Sea as a travel destination of Dachen Island. The landscape-style buildings are arranged along the coastline, slowly unfolding in the long and narrow plot and integrating with the terraced landscape.
