Hong Kong, the first impression in our minds is of dense buildings, crowded streets and busy pedestrians. The design of the West Kowloon Speed Pavilion, on the one hand, responds to the urban characteristics through abstract dynamics; on the other hand, we try to bring a visual impact through the design to reflect on the living conditions of citizens under the high-speed operation of the city.

The architectural form begins with the "staircase" prototype. Through a series of horizontal elements, a strong superimposed effect is formed, and a stainless steel mirror surface with high reflective effect is used to project the green plants, sky and seascape of the site onto the building, which is subtly integrated into the site environment and has a very sculptural sense. The “staircase” prototype divides the site into three spatial layers, echoing the square, the park and the sea. The supporting structure on the ground floor can be used as a place for rest and communication. When going up the stairs, the middle-level platform can hold small speeches and guide people's view to the park. Sequentially stepping up to the platform can overlook the sea, Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour.
